Hey guys, I'm trying to plan my year next year because I etnd to miss some great events and would like to know ahead of time what there is to choose from. I figured I could also compile an EVENTS LIST/CALENDAR that would end up here somewhere. What I need is this:

NAME OF EVENT

WHEN (not just Mayish, but actual dates)

WHERE - city and state

I'm looking for MOPAR events mainly, but if it's a big event where Mopar guys go to be seen or hang out, that would be fine too. Small local events welcomed as well, but I really want to place priority on BIG national or regional events such as Mopars at the Strip, Carlysle, etc... BTW: I don't know the dates of ANY of these events, so please give the information, even if you think it's a no brainer.

Thanks everyone.

BTW: I'd also like anniversaries of major events such as annual memorials for people we have lost, etc...
Life is a highway...

Hmmm, we have a calendar on this forum. I can turn it on but I don't know what I have to do to let people add events.

When you configure the calendar, you need to create a forum dedicated to allowing people to add events.

Go into "Forum configuration"
Click on Edit "Features and Options"

Scroll down and configure the calendar. While you’re doing that you will have the option to set a special Forum to hold the calendar events.

Create a forum called "events" or something like that then set that option to it.

Step 2 after doing that, you will need to go into the “member controls” Click “Edit permissions”

go to the member groups that are registered <of the groups you want to be able to add an event> and click on “Modify”

Now you will need to setup the permissions to allow people to Add an event.

all set :D

Hey guys, I finally got the calendar up and running so be sure to add the events on there! You can go to the Calendar (links at the top of every page and bottom of the main index) and click on a day to add an event which will also create a thread in the Shows section. You can also add the thread in the Shows board to the calendar by clicking "Link to Calendar" after creating it.
