Someone spent a lot of time and money to devalue their car.

It didn't start out as a nice intact survivor.

a member on here built that ! from a mish mash of parts left over from charger restorations if I remember correctly.  interesting idea & lot of time ! clever stuff but not for me .

interesting text in the  advert , seems a bit miss leading to the lesser informed !  quoting R/T production & this one of one & option codes quoted at the end of advert   :shruggy:
also says its a 440 & fuel injection
its not or at least not a RB engine block , as its missing the top pad by distributor, looking like a 383 / 400 block also the weiand intake is a 8008 if it was a 440 block would be a 8009 for a RB block
looks to me like  normal edelbrock carb under the air filter too.

JR

This one's been around for atleast a decade.

It's well done, I like it.

I could probably be convinced to let mine go for  $103,000.00. My car has a working roof too!

nchrome

No wipers, no heater, probably no side glass, arm rest could of been done better

Bronzedodge

It's OK except the bench seat in blinding red.  Maybe it's just my monitor.
Mopar forever!

No wipers means that it couldn't be registered in my state. Also, no more cowl vents which means no floor air.

triple_green

Looks like, Trans Am specialties in FL took that in on trade and now they are going to loose money....

Yeah, especially is they don't have tight grip...

Wonder how the top actually works, and seals.  :popcrn:

I would not do that to a charger, but to each their own. Their devalue.  :Twocents:

DownZero

There is no top so there is nothing to seal. Think it would look much better without that blaze red interior.

ACUDANUT

Why would some post Factory made Numbers and Stats ect, when it has nothing to do with this hack job.  :shruggy: :shruggy: :brickwall: :brickwall:

Ghoste

We've been conditioned to believe it's important by all the other ads.

This is listed by a real shop, albeit a non-Mopar one, you would think they would do a little research before listing the car.  Also like the buy it now price is undercut in the text of the listing by several thousand bucks.

I love convertibles but the 2nd Generation Charger is the one body style you don't mess with.  PERIOD...

Correction:  Can anyone make any sense of the quoted post above?

Answer: Yes, I can make sense of what Dj was saying.  The guy that built the convertible in question, Scot Lea, is supposedly doing a Daytona pickup, that was featured in a comic book.

If Richard Sais thought there should have been a convertible Charger built, that's good enough for me!

myk

NOPE!  Do it to a Chevelle, GTO, Dart, Galaxie or whatever, but leave the 2nd Gen Charger ALONE...
