Could someone school me hopefully with pictures on the difference between a 69 Daytona hood and a 70 Charger hood ?

Big difference is the additions of the reinforcement ribs on the leading edge of the Charger hood that the Daytonas didn't have.. yellow circle around one of the ribs

Yes, I did.  There's a thread on the site about it, if one cares to search for it.

Easy to fix the front of the hood and get rid of the ribs.
Harder to indent the rear sections and put in the smaller scallops along the bottom.
You need to separate the hood inner from the skin to do it.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Now the test will be when you least expect:  At a Chevy swap meet when it's dark and raining, in a year and a half.

Does anyone have any idea how many REAL Daytona hoods were made?
There were 501 production units that we know of.
Then there were several 1970 Charger conversions.
Did the race teams use modified production line hoods?
Did the sheet metal stocking dealers get some of these?
Just curious on this.

I think the Daytona hoods are just early 70 Charger hoods
The brown hood I have is an exact match with all the same bumps and dents and no crash ribs as all the real original Daytona hood pictures I have seen
Only thing my hood does not have is any hood pin holes drilled in it which are very easy to add

So how many were ever produced who knows but what ever was not used in 69 went onto the first 70 Chargers
