As somebody maybe remember,I have a little problem whit my 440 eddy headet motor..when the motor was in full temperature 180F
and shut it down and let it stay abouth 45-60 minutes it won`t start.The carb give a good shot of gas,starter work great(tilton mini starter)
I chance 170F thermostat,no help. In last winter while I was in our garage and drinking beer,one my frend coming there,I telling abouth my problem and he tell at same happen to him in his Cadillac 1963.what he make, was fuel return line whit just small hole whitch let the fuel line pressure drop when motor temp rising after shut down,Well I make the same,just abouth 1mm hole inside the fuel return line.

Now I been driving whit Charger one month and it started great after 30-60 shut down

Good to hear you figured it out....sounds like your fuel tank wasn't venting properly.
