Not sure if the Eurovision song contest (more info) was broadcast in the US, but for those few, who might have missed it,  here is this years winner. (Sorry about the Finnish introduction, song lyrics are in English.)

:smilielol:

Considering the usual lineup of well groomed and polished soft pop, this is a bit of a departure from the norm to say the least. I'm fairly certain a bunch of people got their coffee down the wrong pipe upon seeing this one win with a record breaking 292 points.

Oh well, just goes to show who uses their cell phones the most I guess (voting was by SMS).  :icon_smile_big:

Enjoy (or not?).

Yeah it was fairly odd, didn't actually see it live as I could care less about the song festival, did you even see the dutch entry :rotz: anyways it was funny...

If it is any consolation, then parts of the local press is calling this the death of the Eurovision contests. Cannot say that I would miss it (and I did vote for Finland, just to kick the dust a bit... [1] )

[1] I didn't actually waste several precious hours of my life watching this. Just kept an eye on things so I could cast my vote at the right time.  :P

As a Finn I do take pride in it, if we managed to "kill" the Eurovision song contest al together...
