My Haynes says to press out upper ball joints on my 72 charger the ones I got through Moog are screw in, and whats on looks the same, they are screw in right?

I think Haynes manuals are "broad stroke" repair guides. Buy your self a Factory Service Manual (FSM). :Twocents:
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

Just got my FSM on disc. Schools still out on whether I like it or not, definitely need to get ink for printer, not into 50 tabs open, trying to locate where I was (zero attention span, ooh look there's something on steering!)lot more info in it. I got one for my Tbird also, they included a parts interchange manual that is pretty sweet with it.

All uppers are screw in, They can't be pressed, Pressed in will leave sooner or later the UCA.

lowers on 73 and lates where initialy screw in, but changed to press in on 74s

What Haynes manual do you have ?
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

BISHKO came highly recommended and I got a very good deal from him on eBay for my Cherokee FSM.  www.autobooksbishko.com

I use both, can't beat the pictures in Haynes and sometimes it is right where my FSM is not and the FSM for details on my year vehicle.

Be carefule using Haynes. they usually cover multiple years, but they cover mid year changes and the FSM does not.

I got the upper arm to move about half an inch(1.27 centimeter in Nacho speak) then it bound up, the arm is flat against the bumper(lower rubber stop) so I tried raising it with the jack under the lower control arm but the only thing I'm moving is whole the car, any tricks to getting the arm to raise to take pressure off ball joint, I don't want to score mating surface on steering knuckle or have problems boogering up threads on new ball joint when I install it. 1972 charger 318 auto, sorry no camera for pics.
