Now I have a question,which is correct,yours or mine as to the nut/wing nut on the plate ?

I have seen them both ways over the years - so either is fine.

Since someone would have to use fingers to take the hold down nut off, looks like a 'winged' nut would be correct for a winged car.

(unless you were born with vice-grip fingers!!)
