Grille question? 68-69

Ok so this may be. Common knowledge so forgive me. Can you
Convert a 68 grille to a 69 with the center piece?  Also I have some gouges in my plastic that I need to fill and sand smooth but I'm unsure which product to use? I don't think body filler would work with plastic. Any help appreciated ! Thanks

Yes, you can change the grill centers out.
