The place where my steering column goes into the gear box I have some issues. When ever I rurn the steering column slides out as I turn. Is this an issue or not.
It never comes out but there is a noticable movment there.

depends where the movement is , the shaft in the steering box will move up & down a little if the brg prelaod si out or the brgs are worn
the shaft will also move in the coupler if it si assembled incorrectly , it should be fixed  but it shoul dnever come apart in either case
