OE Judges should take notes on floor in this car.

Why, All I see is undercoating? LEON.

mel t

Agree. If they can't spot a non undercoated replacement floor . . .

Ghoste

Still some survivors out there, be interesting to see what it sells for.

Interesting car, similar to mine, 383/4 with A/C and auto.  Needs a little interior work.

What's up the the second connection on the air cleaner?  Never seen that.  Ca emissions?
Mopar forever!

Exactly , there are more restored Mopars that now DON'T have their " as delivered with" undercoated floors . While it looks way better all painted / or the overspray on the grey , a strong % of these cars were undercoated . If OE judges want to be accurate when doing an inspection they should realize this is how it was .

think its an owner added item for some reason,  car was not sold new in California going by the window sticker

another odd thing that's on this car that's been put on there for some reason is  some kind of plastic/ rubber plug thingy  pushed in the factory hole above the leaf spring shackle, guess we will never know why what for etc  ... lots of things can happen over 50 years or so   :shruggy:

Uh oh !!!!! Call Rob at MCG , its another one of one !!!!!!

Just 6T9 CHGR

Very cool & rare with R4 exterior & R6 interior.....most times these cars have the "V08" variance code on the tag as that was a non-standard color combo

What I was getting at with my comment was the car had the optional option of J55, Not often used or opt for which you pay extra for more undercoating over the entire under body & with out this option you only get some undercoating in wheel wells & overspray elsewhere. This car is just as it should be with it's original undercoating. Nothing to learn from it from the Judges perspective unless you never seen it before? BUT, It would be a good example for someone trying to duplicate it on there J55 option car they are restoring but the guy before them scrapped it all off & had dipped or sandblasted. LEON.

35k and reserve not met!

A non R/T non SE car going for that much just boggles the mind. I wonder how many of those bids are shill bids and with 5 days left I can only imagine what the final price will be. Somewhere north of 40k I'm sure.

Looks like a very nice survivor to me. If all numbers match and there truly haven't been any sheetmetal patches/repair, it should bring $40-45K. I think its a great color combo....I like red interior although it may turn some off...

I've never seen a door shell rot on the interior side of the car.

me neither ! that part/ bit of a door  always survives well all the doors ive seen ! given the over all condition of the car going by the description & pictures , it does not really make sense, seems odd ....
unless its had a door or door skin incorrectly prepped / painted & or the door drain holes were blocked up ! causing the rain water to sit in the door for 20 years , although then you would expect to see it rotted out along the bottom of the door skin too  :shruggy:

I have seen chargers in the junkyard in the great lakes rust belt area not rust there, car must have been in a flood at one point in its life.

Dano 1

Wow the additional pics on the second listing present a much different story than the first set.
I wonder if the drains in the bottom of the door got plugged and allowed water to pool/rot out?
Also interesting that it has a '68 shift knob, is that common on what I'm assuming is an early production '69?

Looks like a great car regardless, I'd just buff the paint out and drive it.

Maybe something that retains water was left inside the door...... for decades???
