SS xhd rear leaf springs question

Hi All

recently purchased a set of the xhd rear leaf springs P4452982 & P445283 rear leaf springs for my restoration and i m a little worried because the smallest leaf and the next leaf in the stack (2nd smallest one) on one of the springs arent rounded but square ?

is this right or has someone butchered them??

picture ? yes on the back side of the lower look like they got cut straight

Thanks man just the weirdest thing to be honest when i saw it i thought someone took an angle grinder to it
