A 70 Charger, RT/SE with a hemi
Surely cant be many around let alone an SE car with a 426 hemi.

Who ever purchased that charger new surely went all out and didnt hold back RT/SE/hemi.

Also, is it true that the mounted the HEMI badge behind the front wheel if was a US export car, and a US car in the normal spot.

They couldn't place it in the doors in 1970 because of the scoops, so they placed them on the fenders.

What the OP is referring to, is that according to the car owner, all '70 Hemi cars had the emblem on the front fender but on Canadian cars it was located behind the wheel opening, on U.S. cars it was located in front of the wheel opening. It is at the 2:12 mark of the video.

When the OP says "normal spot", he means located at the front of the front fender, the normal spot for a '70 Charger.

He has owned the car since 1972. You would not think someone would have moved the emblems before he bought it. On the other hand, different locations does not seem reasonable to me, so you never know.  :shruggy:   ;D

Most 70 Hemi Chargers that I have seen, have the Hemi emblems in front of the wheel, but I have seen two of them with the emblems placed behind the front wheel like this blue car.This blue car was one of the two, the other car was red IIRC.
