In celebration of the 50 year Aero car reunion in a couple of weeks, I thought I'd pay tribute to the race cars by adding some track shoes to our Tor-Red bird! I know, there are some here that won't like it, but I also wanted to separate our 'run-of-the-mill' 4bbl car from the pack. What do you guys think of the look?  :scratchchin:

I like the look!
We installed 4 stock car tires for the parade lap back in 1988.
We drove the Superbird from northwest Indiana that year with 4:10 gears!
We blew the side walls off of 2 of the original Polyglas tires one on the way down and one on the way back.
So from Indianapolis to home we had stock car tires on the back.
Glad it didn't rain!

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Awesome, any chance of a better side view and info on the rims and tires. I was thinking of doing something like that for the 500's rolling stock.

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Sure thing!

15 x 8's all the way around (4" BS rear, 4.250" BS front)

Nitto 555R tires all the way around (P275/50R15)

Goodyear stencils purchased here https://www.racelinedigital.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=6_150_151

I'll try and post up a few more pic's, but the car is on the hoist for some last minute maintenance before the trip!
