Alternator discharging when using turn signal

Seems like both chargers I've owned have always done this. I'll be at a stop light (at night so the headlamps are on also)  sometimes A/C..... and when I use the turn signals I see the meter showing it's discharging. The needle pulses in time with the turn signal and the speed of the signals slow way down.

Anyone else experience this? Is it just close to the limit it can put out? :brickwall:

Yep my 69 Charger does the same thing
When at the stop lights when I have my head lights on my gauge will bounce also
The car is in gear and the motor is pulled down because the transmission is in gear but not moving also

I usually just shift up into neutral while I wait to go and the rpm s will go up a bit and help

My old friends Challenger did it too. Seems like a MOPAR thing.

The tipical discharge issue at low RPMs on all old Mopars and a big troublemaker since EVER, and not just now after the years, just that with years becomes worst!

Read the stickied thread about upgrades. Everything begins on a CORRECT alternator charging rate, not the stupid rate factory installed. Then will need to get deep into some other points to check
