Hi gang, this pic is the front cross member, just behind the motor (318).

Anybody know if this is fixable, and if so, how?

Anything is fixable......with enough money.

honestly for something that bad you have 3 options, have a shop build you a new one out of some flat stock 14 guage sheetmetal, (or you build it yourself, i have no idea what your fabrication background is), i think that auto rust technicians may sell a path for that peice? but im not positive, or third, find a good used section from a donor car and weld it in. but like blown70 said, fix it SOON. wait much longer and you wont have anything left to weld to.

Yes someone does make a patch for that.  Not sure.  Russ is correct I'm sure.  But yes.  SOON.

Auto rust technicians in Cranston Rhode Island makes a really sturdy slip over peice for that area. They call them T caps. They will outlast the rest of the car. If your more concerned with strength, than looks, then these are for you. If you want them to look original, then these will require quite a bit of grinding, and blending to finess them. If the original look is a must, them you are better off getting a clean tortion bar crossmember from another car.you can decide wether to change the whole member,or just splice on the ends. You could try Stephens Performance in Alabama, for a clean southern rust free peice. Both these places advertise in most of the Mopar magazines.

Kewl.

I just emailed auto rust technicians. Cranston is a small town. They're not far from my cousin's house..... or the NY Systems Hot dog joint.

Ahhhh two dogs 'all the way' at 2 am after a night of underage drinking. That's when moms drove hondas because 'they were reliable....'

Damn those are great memories.

ART emailed me back and I'm going to get their T caps.

All I need now is a frame repair shop to hack out the rusty remains and put in the cap.
