Ethanol in gas is hard on all fuel system components, look for alcohol resistant gaskets and other parts.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Challenger340

We've made 540/550 on pump gas, Hyd Flat Tappet Cammed 440's using a six-pak, which promptly DUMPED to 485hp with 525 Ft/Lbs once we installed the factory hp Exhaust Manifolds and oval 6 Pk Air Cleaner

IMO, Engine/Carb Tuning on the Engine Dyno with EGT's/Lambda is a must, I dunno how anyone would do it otherwise ? just guessing IMO !

The leaking diaphragm is a manufacturing QA/QC issue from Holley (or their supplier).  It leaks at the metal spring cup diaphragm penetration.

500" NA, Eddy head, pump gas, exhaust manifold with 2 1/2 exhaust with tailpipes
4150 lbs with driver, 3.23 gear, stock converter
11.68 @ 120.2 mph

Maybe I got lucky but my six pack setup involved about as much fussing as the old 3310 holley I had on there before, pretty much none.   I had it on my 440 for 3 years before taking it off the road for restoration, made several passes at the track, drove it during the winter, to work, etc with no issues or leaks.

almost 15 years later after the restoration was done, I took the carbs apart, looked inside, changed a float on one of them and put them right back on the intake, old blue reusable gaskets and same secondary black diaphragms I put on in 1999.  (I tested them with a vacuum pump first).

There is a six pack tuning guide floating around several forums, I'm sure most have seen it already but it is very detailed.

The mew one that leaked a week ago was a green diaphragm from a Holley rebuild kit.  Don't know if it is that same diaphragm that you are describing.
