Just installed a new dash harness in my 69 charger.  I have the tic toc dash without the tach.  On the back of the cluster I have a grey wire and there is a also 2 yellow wires with black tracers feeding into a single connector.  What do these wires go to?  Iam assuming one goes to the tab on the back of the clock, but which one, and what does the other do?  thanks in advance guys.  I couldnt find them on my wiring diagram.

does this help??
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Thanks for your reply Mike.  That is the diagram I was looking at from the service manual.  I don't see the double yellow with black tracer wire in the diagram anywhere.    Its right next to the grey tach wire.  Could this wire possibly be used on another model car that uses the same harness?

yellow with black tracer it could be door jam switch ground. Maybe you can connect there any device that uses the ground when open the door, like headlights timer flasher, courtesy lights etc...

I could be wrong, but...

I know door jam switch ground is yellow, but don't rmember if traced or not

OK I'm checking diagram:

tracing wiring there is a line of first section that is labeled as L6A 18Y*... where Y is yellow and * means traced...

On second section of diagram the first label of same line ( L6A ) wire is labeled as traced, however the next labels has missed the * being same line. This line ends beiing the lamps on reminder buzzer with a single female conector and spliced from there up to panel dimmer switch.

I think that's the one.

On diagram they calls to accesories diagram to better details I think.
