69 Charger 383 block found-looking for car's owner

I bought a 68 Charger parts car and it has a 69 383 in it with a stamping on the pad just above the oil pan that reads XP29?9G181853. The missing character would have to be a G or H. Does anyone have any records of a Charger with that VIN?

I cleaned it up some more and I think I can barely make out a "G"?

Holy crap is that ever close to my car.  As for G or H , is there any original paint on it?

Yes. It is possible to have the same VIN from two different plants with the only difference being the plant code.

Take a picture of the ID pad in front of the passenger side head & post it, that may help.

That is not on the front, that is the VIN pad on the side.

Look on the front below the passenger side head. (behind the alternator)
