Rear Axle ID Tags

Who can please tell me where they go?

I have the 3:23 ratio tag - where does it attach?  eg: 1 o'clock, 5 o'clock, 9 o'clock

Also the SURE GRIP LUBE TAG - where does that one mount?

click on restoration details left side,then third picture across on the right scroll to the bottom , i think it might be an E -body 8 3/4 but the tag is at 3  o clock, hope this helps.

The 3.23 tag on my 71 8 3/4 is between 10 and 11 o'clock on the passenger/filler plug side. Since mine is not a sure grip, can't help you on that one.

Correct me if I'm wrong,but did the 70 cars have the sure grip additive tag?I don't believe that the cone style suregrip unit requires the additive,so would they put the tag on the housing?I've never seen a 70 suregrip car with the tag.
