this is the car i was referring to Dave , it was a Hemi 500 here local in KC and was burnt to the ground in a barn fire . Ron came up and bought the title and numbers and what little was left of the car .

burnt C500 was clipped and restored, car was painted black with red tail stripe, was a regular at local shows near the twin cities area, sold and now resides in southwest Wisconsin, I wont name drop in respect of current owner.

Great thread, being younger and not well traveled beyond the east coast during that time period I missed R&R but it sounds like a place and a man legends are made of.
