THIS SHOULD BE AN EASY ONE . HOW DO I FIND OUT RATIO ON MY 8.75 , I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT SPINNING THE TIRE AND COUNTING . I THINK IT'S A 323 BUT I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO DECODE IT THE RIGHT WAY ?

There is a metal tag attached under one of the nuts on the front of the pumpkin and its stamped with the gear ratio but that doesn't mean it hasn't been changed, good luck.

GTX

My Charger was supposed to have a 2:xx but I pulled it and found that it actually had a 3:91 peg leg with three chipped teeth in it. Someone had changed it out and left the tag on.

The GTX has had several sets in it. It came with a 3:23 but now has a 3:55 sure grip although I didn't put a tag back on when I did it.
I'd love to find a 3:91 sure grip for the 'X'!

Shakey

Open 'er up and you'll see the ratio stamped on the gear itself.

"some" of the hog heads were stamped on the outside on the lower pad of the casing near the yoke. i am wanting to say the passenger side, but there is a pad on both sides of the chunk.

i have seen some chunks that have had the stamping and some that didn't, it might be worth looking for instead of pulling the unit.
