You people bored of me yet? Yah, I don't post here often, just pictures of my first car and all.
Kind of a one string banjo of what not to do when you change your focus in life. Being one that does not dwell on the past, I still feel like I own it. Once a Charger owner always a Charger owner.

I see you all having fun this summer with your sexy set of wheels, people giving you a thumbs up as you pilot your 2 ton beast around. Na this isn't a guilt trip, I just wish I was there with ya.

Today with hybrids, $3.00 gas, lap tops, Ebay, GPS, Google this, spam that, war on terror, cell phones, PC crowds, metrosexuals;... just give me an old Charger a right foot and a middle finger and "they" can ALL KISS MY PUking ASS!!!

If your under 40 and didn't drive a Charger in the 80ds you might not understand.

There I said it  ;D

It was ugly man really ugly.  I just had breakfast too :puke: I dumped him in the storm drain.  :rotz:

Anywho, this thread is about my old Charger that I use to race a lot. I'm thinking about it today because these pictures are new to me. My buddy back in San Diego took them. I think I lost to that guy in the hotrod... o-well.

I just wish things were back the way they where when I raised holy hell in my green monster. Now I just have a 70 Cuda in 101 pieces and a Toyota.

I guess things could be worse.  :icon_smile_approve:

And I turned 40 last month  :icon_smile_big:

I was driving the charger below to school in the late 70's and college in the early 80's,  and
I am still spending money on new TA's crappy traction tires but I like the look   ;D

Anyway I can see where you are coming from for sure, I feel your pain, I have sold a few
I sure wish I had kept   :rotz: :rotz:

I wasn't old enough to legally drive cars until the 80's were over.  :icon_smile_big:

Thanks man, I knew someone out there could relate. As the years go by it seems to slip away from my memory. It was just a flat out cool car.

I wrote the guy who I sold it to 11 years ago. He loved that car but traded it for a Porsche 911 because out on Kauai Hawaii where he lived the car blended into the lush tropical island scenery to well. He was constantly evading accidents.
It was sold again to a Hawaii state prosecutor, and he left the island.

I would buy another one, possibly a 68, but Charger prices are just stupid. $8000 + for a 318 rust bucked, forget it.
The fun I had with a $500 car and $1.25 a gallon is a priceless memory.  :rotz:

The best was 13.04 104mph, with a 440+6 and 3.54 Dana, 3000 stall.  It was stock no mods not even headers.

I put a 4.10 gear and headers and lost time.  :ahum: Wrong cam I guess. I could smell 12 sec 1/4 just couldn't push it there. It was 4080lbs with my fat ass in it.  ::)

Wait I guess I wasn't that fat judging my last pic. It was 1987 or 88
