hey guys. i know i will probably be castrated for this question but what do you think a 72 chevelle is worth that is basically all new top to bottm? it has an excellent new blue paint job over an all original sheetmetal car that  has NO patch work anywhere on it. has a brand new rebuilt tranny and rebuilt 400 in it. all new bumpers and interior. my wife is the GM lover here not me. trust me another charger would be more my speed. if any body has any ideas i would appreciate it. i can get the car for $6,000. just needs some things put back together like some interior and trim and tranny lines. that's it. thanks guys!! ??? ???

You might have to make some adjustments since you didn't provide all the details. I think NADA is high on some things, and in more ways than one.

$6K sounds like a deal if the paint is good.

My friend / neighbor had his on ebay a month ago...  bidding topped out around $20K.   He had side offers up around $30K but he turned them down.  I'm not exactly sure what he's got into it but he likes to trade Chevys every few years - they must be fairly boring to lose interest so fast   ;D

FWIW, my 70 SS454 has been appraised for $30K.  $6K is a good deal for a 72 that needs to be put back together.  I know alot of guys that would jump on that car in a heartbeat.

hey guys! i honestly appreciate all of the feed back here on this car. i know the car from years ago. i actually visited  the guy(a friend of mine) while he was stripping it down to bare metal and i know for a fact it is all original sheetmetal with NO patch work anywhere. just a few small dings in it. the guy has everything new for it. problem is he never gets anything finished and starts on something else. i told him i am going to buy it from him now all i have to do is get the time to transfer everything and get it finished up... wish i could find another 68-70 charger like this car!!!

Clap it together, sell it for a huge profit, then buy yourself a Charger, no problem. I sold a Chevelle last summer for $27,500 to me they are dime a dozen cars, but people love them...
