I'm in the process of restoring my '69 super bee, and I've been checking the locations where the vin is stamped, but where it should be stamped on the trunk area there's a code e9ii4i43 so now I'm stumped please help me.

BLK 68 R/T

So whats wrong with the code other than the i's are probably 1's. What's the last part of your VIN on the dash?

Dawn1975

They are definitely i's not 1's, and there is a space between E9 and ii4i43, also it not even close to the vin on the dash as well.

Okay, next question. Where did you find the code?

Dawn1975

Where they would've stamped the vin on the trunk under the gasket on the driver side just about halfway down.

So my guess is the i's are supposed to be 1's and it was a mis-stamp. I don't know if they made superbees at the LA plant or not but the E9 is LA plant/1969 from what I can find. Maybe that trunk gutter, or more, has been replaced in the past at one point?

What about the one on the radiator

Are the last 8 of your VIN 9E114143 ?

The numbers on the radiator support match the vin I'm guessing there has been repairs done to the car but the I's just throw me off.
