Saw this advertised on Facebook  Seems like a solid car although priced a bit high.  Tag has me wondering.....with a SPD of 4/30/69 its waaay out of sequence with other 240xxx cars I had registered....all in the 12/12/1968 range. :scratchchin:

Looks like a fairly sanitary driver. What's his ad got to say & how many millions is he asking?

Are you sure your not looking at the registry wrong???  My 69 Charger is 238XXX with SPD 3/24/69

Sorry I don't remember the whole VIN off the top of my head but it is in that range.

***EDIT: My mistake. Pretty sure my car was a St. Louis car. ***

26 inch radiators standard on RTs? Would that not be on the fender tag as well?

No... If it was a 440 4bbl with a 727, no a/c or axle package ( like a 3.55 or 4.10 ), then a 22" would have been standard.... Hence, no "26" on the data tag..

Priced a bit high?. This isnt the 90s anymore
35k for a solid RT SE to me would seem a steal. Not sure where your coming off as priced a bit high lol yea maybe 20 years ago.

Looks like a good deal to me. If I were in the market I'd make the road trip to go see it!

So is the fender tag possibly fake?

buyer beware...car is much worse than seller claims. Request pictures of rails and ask about damage that was poorly repaired. It is a lot more rusty than advertised

yes, the fender tag is FAKE

I doubt you'll share why even when your that confident. I have been comparing it to my fender tags and other than the missing inspection stamp I'm not sure what else is missing/wrong.  Maybe it's more "crisp" than my 50 year old tags???

in the original post  :hah:  the SPD is 18 weeks off

Well, another concern is the seller not mentioning the fact that the frame rails are patched together front and rear, even inner fender has filler in it after being straightened from an accident

Thx for the Heads Up !  :2thumbs:

Fake Tag ?
Severe underlying rust issues ?
Unseen/hidden/poorly repaired accident damage ?
and a potentially cognizant Seller ?

I mean WTF could possibly go wrong for some poor sucker in this deal ?

Name ain't HLPAG is it ?
