With what people are paying for 2nd gen Chargers these days...I'll bet somewhere north of $15K!  :popcrn:

Wait, wasnt that a members on here whom had a thread where he was unfortunatly crashed into?

Yes-it's the one in my avatar. Fixing it is just too much for me to take on right now. I've got another couple cars that need finished so that's where I'm going to focus. And I'm just not in the mood to deal with a ton of tire kickers and nit picking lately. I bet I had over 30 emails offering me "a little better then scrap value" for that car. LOL

I really have no clue what it will do at auction. It could land anywhere between $8k and 15k.

I have access to bid on it.   I may keep it in mind to make sure it doesn't go too cheap.   What is the drivetrain?   I do remember that it was a "survivor".    No rust issues?    Thanks.

It's a 383 2 barrel/727 car with original engine (which has never been out of the car), fender tag, and broadcast sheet. The enamel paint is microchecked (small cracks) and it has plenty of door dings but It's a super solid car underneath. The trunk floor is mostly still covered with factory paint but has one small hole in the bottom of one of the troughs in the floor. It is super solid.

I rather pay 15k (less would be better!) for that than £25 for that 70 that in the other thread! Crash damage is so much easier to deal with than rust IMO.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

It also says it has a salvage title so it will never have these VIN on it ever again ??

Are you auctioning it or is your insurance company?  How did you make out with your (or their) insurance company?

The car will keep it's original VIN. Depending on which state it gets titled in, the title will forever be stamped SALVAGE and subject to inspection.

Kind of silly. This one will have more original car left that %90 of other restorations and the title will be salvage.... That's the insurance/ salvage industry for you!

There are no titles for cars over ten years old in Rhode Island, so it would be clean here!

The other guy's insurance (Geico) was very professional to deal with and they made a fair offer. I excercised the option to buy the car back. I've been staring at it everyday for 4 months since the accident and I've finally decided to sell it so I can focus on my 1968 Roadrunner and 1968 Charger that I've been workin on for the past couple years.

I would rather straighten that car rather than fix a rustbucket any day.

In most states the title will not be stamped salvage for a vehicle this old. Even if it were, it wouldn't change much of anything value-wise or registration-wise.

Sorry to see such a clean car hit this hard, but that said, it is very repairable. Albeit a major repair even with the proper frame machine, welding equipment, etc. Hope she gets put back together again.

Hope no one was hurt...

So would I. If I had the time & money I'd like to fix it for myself. LEON.

Fortunately, none of my kids were with me. I walked away with cuts/bruises, which was lucky considering I was doing 55mph when I was hit from the left side.
