I'm replacing the felt and guides that slide into the vent window on my 68'  Do the guides go all the way through the felt or just the inner flap? I'm having a hard time getting the window started in the channel. Thanks for any help

Just the inner flap if I'm reading and picturing what you are asking correctly. Can you post a picture?
