I am getting ready to hopefully pull the trigger on a 4 speed conversion for my car.  I was curious if anybody had good or bad feedback on the above 2 vendors.  Both are priced pretty close to one another.  Any thoughts?  I would be purchasing the entire conversion as a kit.
It doesn't matter how your car looks, as long as you have one.

I have bought parts from both vendors.  I got all of my shifter linkage and rods from Brewers, super nice guy and very helpful.

I bought my Hemi 4 speed directly from Passon and couldn't be happier with the purchase. The transmission has been flawless for two years since installation.

I see there isn't any prices listed for the conversion kits.
Is it because they are unavailable or does one just need to call on it?
I would love to convert my Challenger to make up for selling my Cuda  :rotz: :brickwall: :-\

the prices are provided by a quote.  Both want to make sure that they factor ALL things needed.  Ie; carpet, trim, brackets, console retention, etc... expect $4600 plus if you order everything.  everything.

Assuming you are going with an 18-Spline, unless things have gotten cheaper since 2006ish I would budget at least that amount!  Ask me how I know  :P

Having dealt with both, I don't think you can go wrong with either.  Long story short, I like ordering online and quick shipping.  Also in this day and age I think a week or so is plenty of time to get a part to somebody, even if they don't live in America.  That being said, my Charger is my daily driver 8 or 9 months out of the year so if it's down, the sooner I get it up and running the better!  Brewer's didn't show a McLeod pressure plate in stock and Passon did.  So I ordered it from Passon, unless you got one stashed away it was the last or next to last Borg & Beck pressure plate McLeod made, anyway I needed it ASAP but it took a few weeks to get :(

Better to have something before you need it rather than after.  My point being, Brewer's always got me my parts before I needed em.  Overall I'd do business again with either

Very pleasant on the phone, a service that actually cares what's on your mind.

I've bought from both but my transmission is from Passon. Both good customer service.
I happen to live about an hour away from them so I took my trans to them to sort out what I needed to rebuild it (turned out it was cheaper to buy a rebuilt one w/my core).
Jamie met me a few miles away in the nearest town (in the snow) so I could follow him to the shop, he went through my trans and explained what it needed and WHY, and even gave me a tour and showed me their own cars. Now that's a true MoPar guy!

Thanks for posting that. Trying to decide which way to go for a transmission on my project, gives me a ballpark figure to work with.
