Speedo needle stuck to the right

Howdy. I was driving my 66 Coronet and the speedo started making a racket then the needle stuck to the right, even when parked.
Can it be fixed without taking the cluster out?

I think the needle shaft bushing got cracked. That bushing also keeps in place the return spring tension lever, so if got cracked, the needle won't get back anymore because the spring lost the tension. Time to rebuilt/fix.




I got to fix mine ( two in fact ) with epoxy and posted the pics somewhere around here.

then proceed to calibrate it with a drill and old speedo wire on reverse speed on a known rpms. Calibration is 1000 rpms takes to 60 miles
