Hi all,

I confess this is my first 440 build after a lifetime of Gm cars.  I have a fresh 440 block with standard rods and a set of 516 heads. The pushrods I got with the block(1975) are solid all the way through. This is new to me. GM hydraulic lifters have oil holes running through them. I have a Lunati hydraulic cam and lifter set. Which push rods should I be using?
Thanks

Big block Mopars oil through the number 4 cam journal which feeds the rocker shaft through a gallery in the heads which in turn feeds oil to the rockers. Push rod oiling can be used but it isn't required with a stockish set up with a FT hyd cam. You may find that the lifters you have don't have provision for push rod oiling anyway.

that'll work for me ...thank you
