Thats a REAL quality respray!!! LOL! You really are going cheap when you finish the colour half way around the sill (you say rocker!) and don't bother painting the inner pillars at all!

It's going to cost every bit of 40 grand to properly restore that vehicle. Add that to the purchase price and you've got a $90,000.00 383 car. Doesn't seem to make economic sense to me.

Some people actually restore a car for the enjoyment, the hobby, the challenge , and personal gratification they will get from their finished product.  It doesn't always have to be worth every hour and penny that you put into it.

Great car to start with.  I'm with you guys, I do restorations for the enjoyment and end result.  BUT, who wants to invest in something that's going to be worth less when they're done.   I have several Chargers and would love to add another FM3 car to the garage but I wouldn't pay more than $27,500 for it.  I already talked to the owner and he's attemate he's going to get $47,500 in the end.   I told him to keep me in mind.   Fun car to do but 1500 hours of love and passion and $40K of parts and paint.  lol  Not to mention , it's not numbers.

I agree with the 40 K to bring it back.  It will be interesting to see if he gets what he is asking.  It looks like there is a lot of work to be done, but also has the potential to make a very nice car in the end.

The listing describes the paint job as a form of a positive feature

Add does say numbers matching but price still seems a bit high even at today's standards.

  Seems as though he's asking "RT" or even "RT V code" money for it.  Cool color car and even cooler with painted roof and 4spd but don't think that's enough for the price tag.

This is what I love about ebay.......99% of people think their car (or part for that matter) is worth WAYYYYYY more than the rest of the world thinks it is. Kind of a reality check for those dreamers.

Some will pay more for a particular color combo, and FM3 is rather few and far between when talking Chargers, granted it's not a V code car, but a 383 isn't bad, and the 4spd makes it more respectable/collectable...

Personally I'm not hooked on numbers other than Horse Power numerals, so I'd build a vehicle to my liking rather than dolling out large coin just to buy a fender tag, then have to drop more coin to refurbish, and be confined to the tags build as well...

ebay ad says it comes with the numbers matching 383 block , must of located it , on the FM3 site no mention of it

if it  could be bought for a sensible price  & I was 20 years younger, would love to buy & do a nut & bolt  restoration on it.  will look awesome when restored, with that color combo

Did you guys notice the steering column? The underhood shots make it appear that it is an automatic, floor shift column. I see a lever on the column near the firewall that on MY 70, is attached to the shifter linkage.
