proper / correct length of power steering column steering shaft

When I was pulling apart my steering column for my GTX vert, I noticed the steerting column shaft was collapsed and sliding in an out.  I'd like to get it back to the proper length and then drill and put a plastic pin back in it like it had from the factory.  Does anyone have the correct length of the power steering column steering shaft?  This is for my 69 GTX convertible.

Myself and then Justin responded on FBBO. No need to know the length (although Justin stated it), pick the outer shafts plastic off if it's still there.. line it up with the inner plastic that will still be there and drill through and then inject plastic welder into the holes with a backing plate on one side.

I just took mine apart - measured 40 inches

from what I found out doing a search on Moparts, the power steering shaft is supposed to be 41 1/2" long.  end to end.
