I was wondering, what ever happened to the red '66 Chargers that were used in the movie Big Fish.  It seems like I remember seeing one of them on ebay a while back.  Does anyone know the whereabouts of these cars..... and how many were used?  Ever since I sold my '66 I have always wanted another one.  Thanks!

One of the cars had a new 5.7 Hemi installed by some high School students and was going to get driven across the country on Rt 66 to various high schools, tech schools and vocational schools. That was I THINK the 1st unit glamour car.

One was sold the year the movie came out on Ebay, it was here in Alabama and was the car that was sitting in the tree after the flood scene. It was pretty rough.

I remember there being a guy in AL that claimed to have two of the cars... he even sent me photos of the cars.  They did look rough.  I'm sure this is the same guy you are talking about.  He claimed the car was in the tree also.  He said there were some brackets welded to the bottom of the car.  I ended up passing on them because he couldn't tell me much about the cars, couldn't prove that they were actually used... I didn't feel too confident that they were ligit.  Now I kinda wish i would have bought them.  I still have the pictures but will have to dig them up.

I think there were three total.  I have some pics around here someplace of the one that went to the high school.  They had it on display a couple of years ago at a show in Detroit.

Believe this was Mrs. Hall's car out of Georgetown, Texas.. Have many hours working and tinkering on that car.. The dead giveaway are the torpedo exhaust tips she had put on...
