Nice build, and crazy luck that the car survived the building collapse.

Agreed, nice build. Thanks for sharing, Bull.  :2thumbs:

And the reverse light was only "needed" in a '68 manual tranny if it had a Hurst shifter. The lockout in the earlier used Inlands precluded needing the light.

Lol! But no, I'm serious.

https://www2.motorauthority.com/news/1113615_watch-how-a-ford-crown-vic-is-transformed-into-a-general-lee-dodge-charger

I still can't get over on how the dash turned out on the Crown Vic General Lee. Other than that I think it turned out great, keeps real Chargers from getting destroyed from the Duke Fest jumps.

Box fan grills from Walmart for the grill...now how many penny pinchers are going to try this!

Great looking restoration on the '68, I know if I had the money I'd have them build me a crown vic general lee, perfect guilt free beater.

On another note that car looks like the '68 color, 'Charger Red', is that the same blend as '69 R4 Bright Red?

Be careful of the company you keep, and the bandwagon you ride on.  I only mention it in your best interest

JB....Is it true....The rumors that you don't have a classic Charger?

When I'm ready to share info with the "company" at FBBO, I'll do so, and not a moment before.  Rumors are just that, rumors.  I have way too much stuff on my plate, and am not in a position to post pix of anything at the moment.  When I get a chance, I'll do so.    The mess over at FBBO is a failure of a select group of individuals who refuse to listen, or read, to what I am saying.

With the way things are over there, I'm not sure I want to post up over there.

I guess when you blurted out " I wish I had a car".. they took it to mean just that JB, that you don't after numerous "I don't have any pictures on my phone" previously. I'm not playing in the "school yard", just pointing out what they're going on and have no interest in the school yard bullying.

I don't think that it is a requirement to own a classic Mopar to be a forum member... here or on For B Bitches Only.

But it helps with your credibility, IMO.

:2thumbs:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

I don't care if someone has no car or 50 to participate on a forum.  When asked which it is just state the facts.. easy pezzy and done.

Now about this car and it's old school red replacement heater hoses...  :shruggy:

That was not me that typed that.  Moparnation took a previous quote, deleted it, then installed that quote.  Kiwi was the one that started the questioning of if I even have a car.

Pretty hard to be 100 o/o honest when dealing with others that aren't

Ah.. I see, more "deception" in the sand box! Like I said, I have no interest in the school yard bullying.

What a surprise.  The self proclaimed Mopar authority is at it again.

Hey, I have no problem with any of that. I was just wondering. I'm sure there are plenty of guys that love these cars but haven't been able to find one they like or can afford. No biggie.   :2thumbs:

Also.....
The way that some forums are, you can quote someone and edit that quote....Making it seem as if someone wrote something that they did not write.
THIS forum has the unique ability to allow users to edit their own stuff MUCH later with no outward evidence that any edit has been made. That is odd. YellowBullet has a 5 minute limit to edit your posts. Other sites have a "Last edited at XXX O'Clock" notification somewhere in the box you write in after you edit.

69wannabe

These old cars are hard to come up with no doubt, i'm sure there are a few on here that question whether or not other members have or do not have a car. I don't post alot of pic's of my car because just when I figured out how to put pics on here photo bucket started charging so I haven't posted anything much since. I am not very inclined in technology and I usually have to get my wife to help me do anything besides just a regular message like this. I can tell you I do have a 68/69 charger that I bought from a guy named Breet Popwell in mid year of 1999. This year will be 20 years of ownership and it has taken me this long to get it looking and running the way I like it and still have a few minor things that I would like to do with it. Haven't really done anything much to it since I had the engine out about a year and a half ago when I replaced the rear main seal and upgraded the heads to a good set of prepped stealth heads. I do think I did post some pics of when I was working on it which was about a month or maybe a month and a half back in may/june of 2017. I did have the 68 seat covers removed and replaced with 69 covers last year in march or april but thats about all that got done on it last year. Gonna have to sent my steering wheel back to Mkie and let him repair it again since it's cracked again at the 12 o clock spot. May just have to bite the bullet and get a repro. Always something to do on these old cars!!!!
