I've noticed in the past these holes don't always measure the same distance as Factory.  :brickwall: LEON.

True I bought complete frame, inner fender etc nothing matching the original. So that means I am screwed lol

Which part of the frame rail is that. That bracket at the top is screwing me up. Here's a picture of my original frame rail. Not patches, all original.  Do you still the measurements? If so try to tell me which holes you need the distances for.

That bracket is for the seat belt anchor bolts.

No. Take a look at that picture I put up. The seat belt bracket is attached to the floor not the rail.  It's that rectangular reinforcment piece with in the threaded hole in the middle of it.

No I was lucky, my frame rails came right from St. Louis back in May of 1970.

Here's a picture of the whole thing. I was really lucky. I just needed a trunk floor and one trunk extension.  Rusted from the inside out. Dam that weather stripping!!!

That being said I cant get to the shop today bit of a snow storm up here today. But this might be able to help you out for today...

Let me know. I'm going up tomorrow to the shop. It's closed today any way I'm guessing.

The bracket that's attached to the rails are for the outer seat belt anchor bolts. The square pads that are on the floor pan are for the inner seat belt anchor bolts. The outer supports are part of the rails and the inners are part of the floor...

I wonder if that is the same for a 70? It's been a while(16 years) But I'm pretty sure that there is a threaded nut insert welded to the inside rail rocker panel?? Right where those fold down wire retainer flaps are. I know my frame does not have those welded on threaded tabs. I'll go take a look if I have any pictures.  Rear retractable belts 10-4.

The threaded nuts that you're thinking of in the rockers are for the front seatbelts. The front retractors are what mount in the rockers.

Nope rear seat belts.

The front hole for the front seat belt is just below the rear part of the door arm rest. Took me some digging to find that one. lol
I guess to make a long story short is that the 70's didn't come with that tab on the frame rail for the seat belts.  Must be a generic frame rail. Then let them modify if not needed. (cut them off and dress)

Ok good mine is same floor like yours.so I think the bracket on the frame is new add up.

Just checked out the AMD site and they are selling that frame rail for all second generation Chargers. With that bracket welded on it. So like many parts these days that are remanufactured you going to have to make them fit.  Like I said earlier I had to replace the floor and one trunk extension. Well the big hole in the trunk extension is wrong. The slot on the hole is facing the wrong way. I had to cut it out round and welded in a small quarter moon piece of steel to make it correct. Anybody else notice and do that?? Oh well it worked fine but I had to massage it to make it work(right). 10-4

Had to add a picture to let everyone know that's reading this, what I'm babling about. lol

Kent, thanks for that info. I had no idea that the seat belts on the 70s were different than the 68-69s.

That's Ok 68RT440, I had no idea that the 68's had that bracket for the seat belts. That's why I didn't know what that bracket was in the original picture.

Thanks for posting the picture VegasCharger. I wonder if the 69's are the same as the 68's?

Well talk about a thread hijack. Do they still say that anymore? lol

Well I had fun looking at my old pics and figuring out how to resize and post a few pics. But I will still be going to the shop in the morning and getting a few more for 7necharger.  Shame he has more work ahead of him grinding off them tabs. :nana:

'69 same tabs. 70 as you show at the ends of the seat, not behind it like '68/'69.

Lots of aftermarket parts are made 1 size fits all. Because of that many parts will need to be modified to fit or look right. LEON.
