Anyone with 1972, 1973 & or 1974 parts books that can look up a part # for me?

If so......

I would love to know what the part numbers are for the 3-speed floor mount chrome shifter handle for the B-body bench seat applications.

I know that the 1971 handle is different than the 1974, but I am hoping to find out when the change occurred for sure.

The part numbers your books say for '72, 73 & '74 please?

I preffered to post the pics because I couldn't find anything THAT specific to your request on my catalog, unless I'm searching it wrong ( that I think not)

The 1971 up B-bodies with console used the same shifter handle as the E-body, a straight, short stick pretty much.

So you may have to find the E-body number, cross reference it & look for the 'other' version - B-body bench seat, but I doubt the books will call it out based on seat type.

If possible when found, model year of parts book & part number for this part each year '72-'74 would be great.

According to that '74 parts book, the chrome shifter handles should be listed in the section 21-30-2  :2thumbs:

ok so NOT the knob but the lever... I was getting the handle as the knob because is what you handle LOL

Can you please get a photo of that whole page?

There should be a header at the top for the separate models, so the '1' in each vertical column is body type specific.

Nacho-RT74

I didn't do it to save Kb to be able to upload it large enough to see the PNs good, but on my 1st reply, 3rd pic is the column order:

V - B/J - L - R -W - P - D - C(L/M) - C(P) - C(H/S) - Y

A body 1st and 3rd columns

E Body 2nd

B body 4th and 5th column

etc...

1971
3 speed w/o knob 2950943
4 speed 3467687

1972 is same as A body
3 speed upper w/knob 3575215
w/o fold down arm rest 3467678
4 speed same as E body 3467732
w/arm rest 3467733

1973
3 speed same as E body w/o knob 3467675
w/o fold down arm rest 3467678
4 speed same as E body 3467732

74 looks to be same as 73

Hope that answers your question(s).

Thanks for the help so far, but 4 speeds were not what I was hoping to hear about & the B-body shift lever shared with the E-body is only for the console equipped 1971-74 B bodies I mentioned above.

Is there a shifter handle listed in the R & W lines of the 1972, 1973 & 1974 book that is different than any E-body number that is listed only in the R & W columns?

I have a NOS 1971 B bench seat / buckets with buddy seat shift lever & a complete transmission from a '74 B  bench seat / buckets with buddy seat  with the shift lever intact and they are noticeably different, so I am trying to find out when the change occurred.

The  part number on my NOS '71 example is 3467 687 & it appears in both the R & W application columns.  Book listing shown here with the parts label from it;

943 is 3 speed and shares with B/J (E body).
687 is 4 speed

Alaskan_TA

943 shared with the E-bodies is for the console equipped bucket seat cars & it is not the version I am hoping to find the part numbers for.

I am looking for the 1972, 1973 & 1974 B-body only part numbers for the bench seat / bucket seats with or without buddy seat / without console 'knee bend' shift lever part numbers.

Your screen capture shows that the 687 (w/3 speed) is in fact for a 3-speed.  ;)

You wouldn't also happen to have an NOS 72-74 bench or buddy seat 4 speed shifter boot would you?
