Headlight door bracket arm/door differences?

I have the headlight door bracket arm(attaches to door with 4 screws) from the grill that was on my car when I got it.  I went to put them on a restored grill and found out the distance between the screw holes on my restored '68 grill door holes that mount to the arm is 1 and 1/8".  My bracket arms holes are 1 and 1/4" apart.  Is this a known issue?  Different year chargers?  Mid-year change?

My bad, I had if flipped the wrong way, lol.  Different lengths on different sides.

Yep, made that way so the arm is mounted correctly to connect to the actuator link
