i know this is a silly question guys ,and i might be posting in the wrong bit , how come the smileys don't move any more . or is it just on my computer

Its your settings.

When my anti virus is on it disables the code that runs that stuff, after turning it off the animation works.

Are you running any antivirus, popup, or ad-blocking software? What browser are you using? If you're using IE, go to the "Tools" menu and choose "Internet Options...". In the window that pops up click on the tab that says "Advanced" and scroll down about half way to the "Multimedia" section. Make sure the box next to "Play animations in web pages" is checked. Now would be a good time to turn off "Enable automatic Image Resizing" and "Smart image dithering". I hate setting that try to guess what I want (and usually screw it up).
