What's with the front tray?
I don't think I've ever seen one like that with the "screens" on each side.

Anyone familiar with this?

I have pictures from 1985 that show that latch tray in chrome!  He also had the grill surround chromed. WINGNUT

One would think that you would want all the air that came through the front of the nosecone to pass through the radiator......with those screens in the latch tray, a lot of the channeled air through the nose would not go through the radiator.......

These cars overheated enough, I think this just compounds the problem
