This 69 440 was in my Yellow Daytona. This will be on display in my Mopar Man Cave. I detailed out the motor. I did this to my HEMI and I love it because it stays cleaner and cleans easier. Can anyone guess what intake this is?

looks like  the motor is made out of orange glass   :coolgleamA:

think the intake was originally a 3870733 or may be a  3751728 ,

Yeah, did you just wet sand that and buff it out?  I'm curious.   Ceramic paint?

Nice!!! Where can I get a set of the valve covers?

Single stage acrylic enamel DuPont sub-brand ($30.00)- Hardener with lacquer thinner for fast dry time. Cheap and simple. To be honest, I wish my car plaint jobs looked this good. Single stage is underrated. Did not color sand it at all - right from the $15.00 Harbor Freight gun. There is a trick - not letting as much paint through with a lot of air - very fine aspiration - fine particulates.

Valve covers 133.00 Holly Snyper - Amazon - they will be painted over Satin black with a mopar emblem

The intake is highly modified - the round part will have a MOPAR "M" in it. More pics to follow, if anyone cares LOL

Thanks guys!

Dane

You got it - off a motor home - Notice no coil mounts? Got rid of the casting burs. Cleaned it up like my HEMI intake from Indy CH.  I wanted a WEIAND DP and Holly stopped making them. Loved those. I hate the looks of the Edelbrock DP. Because this is a show piece I modified it for looks over performance. Here is a before...

Why that intake ?
Where is the Cave ?

kent

Will it take the heat?
It looks great!

No the intake is just a mockup for display. The intake was trashed on the inside I would never use it. The paint will take the heat - I've proven that with my HEMI that is painted the same.

Here are some pictures of the vision of what I'm going to build... sorry for the sizing of the pics - I do not know how to fix that...

It works but I do not have it plugged in. It is kind of a museum. I have a stereo system from high school, the wheels on the wall from the cars that I had from high school.  I will have pictures of those cars next to the wheels.  I have a 7.1 surround sound, and three other amplifiers running eight speakers. I have a 36 Ford wheel and tire that I have to add from my dads car that we had from when I was a child back in the 70's. Just think that 36 Ford was only 30 years old then, and my Daytona is 50 years old now. That we be like owning a 90's car today - what crap we make now

It's coming together nicely.

You must be single.     :icon_smile_big:   :2thumbs:  My wife would have a hard time with me hogging that much space in the garage.

I'm married - It is a 1400 SF garage 17' vault, and my wife has her own craft room in the house, so she gets her space too in the garage with a place for her car (Charger) and we are all happy :) Also, insolated and heated. Again, thank you everyone for your kind words :) Not a rich guy, but did it very efficiently.
