I make them.  It is a new part for us so they aren't on the website yet but I have them for '66-70 Dodge and Ply B body cars.  Mine are HD stock replacement units with two eye bolt holes; stock ride height and 1.5 inch lower than stock.  www.arengineering.com

Thanks for the info Andy.  What do I have to do to go about ordering a pair from you?  I was on your website a while back and noticed that you had the ones for the E body as well, which I'll need a set of those as well.

If you can wait a few weeks then you'll be able to order the B body hangers from Mancini Racing or Miles Chrysler.  If you're in a hurry then send me an email and we'll work something out.  I typically do not sell direct but I can sometimes work out a process for people if they can't get stuff from a regular dealer.

BlueSS454

I'll need them by mid May after I have the rear axle rebuild and order the rest of the rear suspension.  I have to save up for that now since I blew all my Charger fund on the front suspension :).  Thanks again Andy.

Andy are you going to make those hangers for the 71-4 B bodies?

andyf

1971 should be the same as '66 to '70 according to the master parts book since they have the same part number BUT other references say they are different.  I guess I'm not positive at this point if '71 cars can take the '66 to '70 hanger or not.

If you need '71 hangers and have a stock one to work from I can help you.  If you send me a hanger I can reproduce it. Or if you send me good dimensions I can tell you if my '66 to '70 ones will fit.

The 1972 hangers appear to be a one year only in the parts book and I do not have the dimensions for a '72 hanger.  Then in '73 things get weird with the ISO setup.  I'm not currently tooled up to do the '72 or anything newer but I could tool up if the opportunity came along.

BlueSS, I got my new front spring hangers from Jegs. Mine is 73 but I imagine they make them for 2nd gens also. Just installed them a few months ago and they did need a little persuasion and customizing so to say... kind of sad being that they were mopar parts.

I thought that was the case also, until I did it with the Cuda.  I got the Mopar springs and the hangers Jeg's listed.  When I put the rear suspension together, the rear sat 2 inches to far rearward causing the shackles to hit the back of the body.  I just want a stock replacement front hanger for the car.  You would think it would be something that would be reproduced considering the 2 Mopars I have done, the hangers on both cars were shot and ended up with broken studs.  I can't imagine I'm the only one that even broke a stud on one.  I ended up heating up the other studs to get the nuts off and I do trust the integrity of the studs since I have heated them up, especially with the way I drive.

As far as I know nobody is producing stock replacement hangers.  The ones the Mopar Performance sells are for the shorter Super Stock springs.  They are not stock replacement hangers.

I decided to go ahead and tool them up since nobody else was making them.  They'll be on the shelf at Mancini Racing within a few weeks.  www.manciniracing.com is the address.

I bought a couple sets of stock repo front spring hangers about a year ago, I think I found them
on ebay, they are very nice but they don't have the studs just bolts and washers. I have been looking
everywhere for studs that small but no luck yet.

Here is a picture of the spring hangers that I'm making.  Got them back from the plater the other day.  These have the correct OEM studs installed.  Hangers are in stock now.  You'll be able to purchase them from Mancini as early as next week.

The long one fits '66 to '70 Dodge.  The shorter one fits '66 to '70 Ply.

They look great, is there anyway I could buy four sets of those studs from you? I have looked for
over 3years for replacement studs with no luck.... and like I said the other set of repo's had no studs.

Dan, if Andy can't get those studs check with Bill at the linked website below. I remember Mike (AllBlueRT) said that he carried that item.  ;)

One more thing about this while I am thinking about it.  What has anyone replaced the bolt that goes through the hanger and eye of the spring with?  Just a grade 9 or is there some other new bolt you can get for that?
