Just curious for those of us going to Atlanta on Thursday...how many will be driving their cars from the track to Alexander City vs trailering them? I know, weather permitting, I'm kinda looking forward to the 2 hr convoy of Aero cars heading down the freeway! Hope the wife is okay driving the truck & trailer!
I'll be driving. Not taking a trailer at all.

Ernie I Pm'd you. We are leaving Thursday morning 8 to 8:30am from just north of Louisville direct to Alexander City. We have 4 cars right now and welcome to make it a CW McCall convoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sd5ZLJWQmss

i'll see if i can get gary's butt moving early enough to make it there around that time.

i'm looking to see if anyone around here has a little three or four wheeler we can toss in the truck bed to tow the car around once it comes off the trailer.
that would make life so much easier down there

We'll be digging it out of dad's garage (see avatar) on Wednesday, checking fluids, a wash n wax, etc and driving all the way. Adding to the over 160,000 mile on the odometer.  :2thumbs:

O yea. Got to keep it on the track when they come available
November 2nd  Kentucky Speedway does there drive the track sale.  Every $40 you spend on next year's tickets, souvenirs or a donation to the track charity you get 3 laps in your personal vehicle. No passing but behind the rite lead safety vehicle you could hit @120 mph.

Wife says she refuses to let me reload the car after Altlanta. She'll drive the hauler and I can have fun ! Cuts the 45 minutes to a hour it takes to put a car back in a trailer!!  :icon_smile_big:

Well the Bible is printed, the Bee is safely stored elsewhere and other than packing our suit cases we're pretty much ready to go. I THINK I know where we're going and expected to be each day in Georgia and Alabama, after that we're just making it up! Probably like the old days where we'd spin a 2 liter bottle in the middle of the road and take it's advise.

Wife and I are working on our route, as she can only go 3 to 4 hours at a time or the next day is a right off. We were originally going to cross the border at Buffalo, but now looks like we're leaving Friday and staying at her cousins in Arkona, Ontario for the night. Then Saturday crossing the Blue Water Bridge and heading for the Gilmore Museum North of Kalamazoo MI to sign Justin's GTX  :icon_smile_big:, probably sleeping in the parking lot so we can take it all in Saturday afternoon (if we make it before closing) and most likely more on Sunday AM. Off from there the 4+ hours to the Wright / Dayton Ohio AirForce Museum. Not sure if we'll tour it on Sunday or Monday, will depend on arrival time. If anyone is in these areas and wants to meet, come look for our truck/trailer and you know my ugly mug by now! I don't have a smart phone, but if we have wifi I should be able to update using the wife's laptop.

Sounds like your coming down I-75 south thru the northern part of Ky. Just south of Cinncinatti is Florence Ky. If you have some type of phone. (My dads favorite is the good old flip phone that he know the green and red buttons but that another story) It's only about 1 1/2 hrs from the museum in dayton. I can get u my phone number.  We are leavig a day earlier than originally planned now Tuesday.

Yep still running a flip phone, as I really don't need a smart phone.. the third cell I've had since my $1799 Motorola in 1985! Not sure it'll even work down there.. but hopefully I can at least send texts! PM me a name and phone number just in case something might work out for a quick visit or we need someone local for help. Thanks!
