Enlargement of the important bit. That's a whole lot of stuff hung on it...

Or 10! Watching some of these shows like Jay Leno and they windshield will have like 6 just pointed at the people inside.

I was thinking that was a generator. Had to be wonderful for the sound editors.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

JB400

Kind of pushing the limits of the suspension.  They got the big ole 440, what's a couple hundred more pounds of equipment?

HANDM

Jeez, talk about distracted driving!

hemigeno

Is there someone sitting in the trunk of that car?

:scope:

Mike DC

Yep, looks like a guy in the trunk.

This is an example of why Hollywood crews want so many copies of each car.  Not only for stunt damage, but also just to save time on the set (which is very, very valuable in that business).  It's a lot faster to switch cars than wait around while those complex riggings get built & altered & taken off.   And you can cut/modify/drill up one car for mounts without having to hide the damage the next day.

There are some camera setups where a crew tries to record decent sound and others where they don't even bother trying.  This would be the latter.  A scene where audio mattered would be done with a more heavily insulated casing around the camera and everything.

same car?

Mike DC

Yes, probably the same car.

Looks like maybe the same guy in the trunk too.

timmycharger

 :scratchchin: :scratchchin: sure does.

Can't really see him in this one..

I imagine with all the camera equipment, the generator, and the operator in the trunk, the car w weighed almost as much as a new Hellcat  :icon_smile_big:

Are you referring to the license plate ("RDR 383")? That's a hollywood prop. All the cars used have the same one. It's not a legal registration.

But without paperwork it will never be. I own a drill, I can also find a camera car.
