Charger Refrences on Adult Swim.

I'm addicted to Adult Swim, The TOON networks' allegedly  "adult" after hours programming and now with my new dish TV service  I can program and replay shows at will. Rather expensive but very convieniant...
In any case, on a few days back on "The Family Guy", Peter Griffin in a flash back to his teen years  (seemingly in the Mod '70s, complete with bell bottoms, side burns, and flower decals), Peter and his friends are shown sitting on the hood of a 1969 Dodge Charger - unmistakable due to the jet intake grill with it's hidden headlights and the center I piece.
Then again on the Venture Brothers (who's bodyguard character - Brock Sampson drives a '69 R/T Charger prominintly featured in the opening credits). a nefarious, mechanical exoskelaton character with the heavily accented voice of Californias' current Govenor, makes an apperance muttering something about a "Fastbacked 1967 Dodge Charger"... (I replayed that bit a half Doz. times and never could figgure out exactly what he says)...
But anyhow, I highly  recommend these shows - and Harvey BirdMan, which features the birdlike Lawyers' screaming zonker yellow 1971 Plymouth Road Runner with a nice touch, a Pontiac Firebird screaming chicken decal on the hood.
Obviously these shows come from a common source, a MOPAR Lover!
Rock On - Adult Swim!  :punkrocka:

There was a Simpsons episode, when Bart does a ride along, with the cops, and they chase a guy in an orange 69 Charger. I also saw another cartoon where the police cars were 64 Dodge Polaras. I do not remember the name of the cartoon. There was a Duster in Beavis and Butthead too.

Brock is definitely a Charger guy, and lists the, "Dodge Charger Owner's Manual", as his favorite piece of literature. :2thumbs:

The episode where he drives his "69 R/T out of the back of a military transport plane is sweet! :METAL:

I Love Venture Bros! I also like "Robot Chicken". They have used toy chargers in many of their skits, including the GL!  :icon_smile_big:

There is a wickedly funny animated series on FX called Archer.  The first season is on dvd.  In one episode, he is driving a Challenger.  I couldn't locate a photo of that but I did stumble upon this image:

Ghoste

The girl in white has more than a passing animated resemblance to Joan Parker the 1969 Dodge Fever girl. (IMO)

it's starting up again soon and I understand the first show will have some really unusual elements.
