Packed up the cooler yesterday morning and headed across the Hudson to Rhinebeck for rod and custom day.

It rained some in the morning but I held off cleaning the thing till it cleared up.   It was a busy day.    My friend sold a pair of my old reverse Cragars for $150 but I said I'd split it with him so even then I was up for the day considering gas, entry, food and beverages (   :icon_smile_wink: ) .

My friend George won the Mighty Muscle award.    He entertained the folks by cranking up the 572 with the cutouts open about every half hour or so.     I won "coolest 60's".    Whatever that means.   Anyway we get to park in the winner circle next year now  :icon_smile_cool:

Some 4 sale stuff:

a.   '70 RT Clone.   $30K.   Too bad they didn't fix the rot in the wheel wells or frame rails or fix the gaps - especially on the front bumper  :icon_smile_blackeye:   Nice package otherwise...  I can't understand putting a nice black paint job on over top without fixing what's underneath.   Makes me wonder how they fixed the body.

b.  64 Polara.   440 with 426 valve cover decals and a pushbutton 727.  No price.  Nice.

c.  68 X.  $16.5K.   Decent car, decent price.

I won "coolest 60's".    Whatever that means.

"coolest '60's" means the judges thought your car was the "coolest" from the 1960's!   :yesnod:

Unless of course they have the cars categorized by tire width.   :shruggy:

Congrats, Brian.  :2thumbs:

That '69 Road Runner with the blown Hemi was at the Adam's cruise in Newburgh. That's a sweet car. I thought about Rhinebeck, but had to get my camping trailer de-winterized & take my daughter to a party at one of her friend's house. Not your typical kids party, this one was outdoors, lots of food, a big bonfire, & they had a projector showing Bugs Bunny cartoons & Monsters Inc. on the side of the house after dark.

Yup..thanks Bob...   and yeah.... George got 2nd place custom award at Adams.    It's actually a 68 with a 69 grill.

He's one of the organizers of a show next Sunday at Rosendale rec. center.   Get something running and come on up.... unless you got a skating party at the roller rink to go to or something  :icon_smile_big:

I got there around 3 in the afternoon. Took a walk through the parts corral and then checked out the cars for sale. That GTX did look like a nice car for the money.

Chris, I went and checked it out but nobody was popping hoods or anything and I didn't even think to get shoot the vin pic... hey... it's not like my initials are G.G. and I go around to all the shows taking pics of tags and then reselling the same info back to people  :icon_smile_big:

I talked to a well known local mopar hoarder that had looked at it 2 weeks ago about it... and then my friend knew somebody that checked it out also.    I got a pic of the sheet they put in the window but not any real info for ya there.

Hope to see ya in 2 weeks.   Hey,  check out www.popyourhood.com for pics from Bear Mt. last week.   I know I didn't make it but some folks did.

Nick:  Not much... mostly just 528 solid cam.  Got a few things waiting for parts to show up.   Hope to see your car in paint soon!  So much for "Chicks dig my bondo"  :icon_smile_cool:

What else do 'ya have planned?  Hmmm????  :P

Mine should be painted at the end of this month, I'm hoping.  It's going to be a completely different animal when it gets put back together, too.  Can't wait.  The chicks will have to dig my big, black... uh... Charger.  :icon_smile_cool:
