A General Lee just sold for $220,000 AU which is more than Lee 1 sold for. Surely someone here knows more about this car. It looks pretty rough but untouched.

Looks like they took the price off

Thats one of the General lee enterprise cars. Not a original from the show these cars was built by a company back when the Dukes was on TV to go around to car shows for display like World of wheels shows like that. These cars are not accurate at all push bar hangs low decals are off and black interior.

220k crazy.

Hopefully the owner was a classic car collector. Or into movie collections or whatever.

220k could have bought you a hell of a lot nicer charger lol
Maybe 3 of them.

 :smilielol: @ 220,000. That heap ain't worth $30,000.

Could of bought a Ferrari for that. What a clown.

Nostalgia can do funny things to a man, like make him lose all his senses and buy a clown car pos.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

My guess is that two people went in with stupid last minute bids to try and secure the auction.

Back N Black

I got a 01 drivers door hanging on my wall that I'm willing to sell to him for 5 grand!!!

Aussiemadonmopars

Must be located near me. Shipping charges are very low... West coast of AU.

Ghoste

So 220k AU is what, about 160 US?  Still an enormous amount.

Don't forget the 7.5% buyers premium

Seabeckredneck

No way is that worth $220,00! Especially with no driver side marker light. I mean geesh, 219,000 maybe...

Thats alot of dough for something with no documentation to back it up. I've seen this car in person, and know a bit more about it's history and some past owners.

Do you feel the history you know adds any value to it?

It does add value, because I know the history, but not 220k worth of value. Even for me, knowing more about the car, I would want some documentation on something like this before shelling out any more dough than some old charger that needs a full resto.

An old guy owned the car, had some WB documentation and the car was parked outside in a field for ages. When he died, his house was pretty full of all sorts of hoarded junk that was all thrown out, presumably including the documentation on this car. A friend did some work on it to fix it up some years ago. I saw it a few times, and vaguely know a couple of the past owners. This was when it was still in NZ.
