my 73 charger wont idle

My 73 charger wont idle. It will start and will run so long as you keep reving it. We checked the timing and the car runs better when it is not in the right spot. Also tried messing around with the idle, but nothing. I have no idea how to fix this.

It sounds like a good sized vacum leak.
If it ain't wide open; it ain't running.        Rule number one in motocross racing: Pin it; row the gear box; and wait until you hit something.     At work my motto is: If you need me, call someone else.

Mine did the same thing. I just tightened down the carb some more and it straightened up.
