Drivers Door Side Mirror - Disassembly

Hey everyone,

I am wanting to get my drivers side door mirror (with adjustment cables) chromed and the guy says I need to take the mirror(glass) out. I have been trying to figure out how to take this thing apart but so far no luck. Any help on getting this mirror broken down would be greatly appreciated!

Break the mirror glass is the only way I know of  Glass shop can cut you a new one to glue in.

Mirror glass won't come out in one piece.

There should be a phillips head screw inside the pedestal (look underneath) at the very front of the pedestal.  That holds a few pieces together.  It's a long screw that takes a while to un-thread all the way.  

This won't get everything apart but it helps.
