68 A/C water valve assembly help

Hi everybody! I've just had my heater core repaired after I discovered it had been leaking all over my carpet (now garbage ) and was so saddened to find that my water valve assembly is also leaking, too. I saw a replacement NOS part for $450.00!@!!!!!! I nearly passed out from the thought Does anyone know of a place that rebuilds them or makes a seal kit to fix 'em up? Thanks in advance for your help.
