Hey Guys

Im having trouble with my car again. The last time I had it out the timing was too advanced and i dialed it back and it seamed to be ok.
So today after months of the car sitting i went out to start it and it will start fine but will not hold an idle, it just dies,
so i advacned the timing and it dies, i retard the timing and it runs for a little longer, maybe one minute and then dies,
if i retard it any more it dies....ive got to get this timing dialed in..any ideas

have used a timing light to make minor adjustments and it keeps dying

motor is getting fuel from carb ok

What about adjusting the idle? Check vacuum lines?

Thank you for the insight, I have the idle at a minimum of 1000 in park and still have this issue
all the vacuum ports are plugged or in use without leaks

You think the idle fuel mix could be too lean?? and that is causing it? I haven't messed with the carb but it did idle at one point with this one
this car has idled in park correctly before and driven on the street
its just the final tune im working on here
